Type of Mentoring (e.g. school, community, group, etc) |
Our approach to mentoring is to have adults work with small groups of teens. The adults act as advisors, helping the teens to learn skills and gain access to the resources they need to make their projects successful. Specific skills developed include public speaking, planning, budgeting, and communications, and public relations. Through their experiences, teen gain confidence in their abilities, awareness about their community, and hope for a brighter future. |
| Target Population |
We educate the entire community about youth issues and advocate for programs and resources that promote positive youth development, 0-21. However, we directly engage students 13-18 in working side-by-side with adults. |
