Recruitment Focus

Children of Incarcerated Parents who are between the ages of 4-18 and dedicated, positive, and caring, adults who want to have fun!

Project Status

Type of Mentoring (e.g. school, community, group, etc)

Community-based one-to-one mentoring - mentors must be 18 years old or older; and school-based one-to-one mentoring - mentor can be a current upper classmen in high school in selected schools, all others must be 18 years or older.

Target Population

Children of Promise must be between 4-18 years of age. Mentors must be at least 18 years old or older with the exception of select schools. Contact project coordinator for futher explanations.

WA State Department of Corrections East Region Section One, Spokane Public Schools, Boys and Girls Club of Spokane County, and Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest

What are Your Greatest Needs

1. Volunteer Mentors...especially male mentors

2.Idetifying the children and getting their caregivers permission for these children to receive a mentor.
